In the aftermath of the second world war, the Bavarian town of Landsberg am Lech became a site of profound historical reckoning. As the us army liberated the nearby concentration camps, thousands of jewish survivors were left with nowhere to go, leading to the establishment of a displaced persons camp in the town's former barracks.
