The last king of Burma, King Thibaw, was deposed by the British in 1885 and died in exile in India. Over a century later, his great-grandson, U Soe Win, is on a mission to bring the king's remains back to his homeland. The film follows Soe Win as he navigates the complex political landscape of modern-day Myanmar, where the legacy of the monarchy and the trauma of British colonial rule still resonate. Through his journey, we see the enduring power of history and the challenges of reconciling the past with the present.
