In the darkest days of the Second World War, the British military faced a critical threat from German U-boats operating out of the heavily fortified port of Saint-Nazaire. With conventional naval and aerial attacks proving ineffective against the massive dry dock, the British turned to a daring and unconventional solution. A group of elite commandos, trained in specialized, high-risk tactics, were tasked with a near-impossible mission: to infiltrate the enemy-held port and destroy the dock gate, effectively neutralizing the threat to Allied shipping. This is the story of the men who volunteered for a mission with a negligible chance of success, relying on ingenuity, courage, and a modified destroyer to pull off what would become known as the greatest raid of all.
