A team of civilian experts, including a criminologist, a private investigator, and a psychotherapist, re-examine the 1999 cold case of Clyde Frost, an 80-year-old landlord who was murdered in his home and whose body was later discovered in his own van. The team investigates the circumstances surrounding his death, including the possibility of a botched kidnapping, and explores potential connections to other crimes, while also attempting to uncover the truth behind the victim's personal life and the involvement of his widow, Juliette.
