King Cetshwayo & the Anglo-zulu War

King Cetshwayo's reign over the Zulu Kingdom was abruptly interrupted by the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879, a conflict sparked by tensions between the Zulu nation and the British Empire. Despite their initial success at the Battle of Isandlwana, the Zulu forces faced overwhelming British military might, leading to their defeat at the Battle of Ulundi. King Cetshwayo was captured and exiled, marking the beginning of British colonization in Zululand. His capture effectively ended the Zulu Kingdom's independence, paving the way for British control over the region.
