Titus - The Good Emperor

Titus Flavius Vespasianus, known as Titus, ruled as Roman Emperor from 79 to 81 AD. He is remembered as a benevolent and effective ruler, earning him the posthumous title of "the Delight of Mankind." During his brief reign, Titus oversaw the completion of the Colosseum, initiated construction projects to improve Rome's infrastructure, and provided generous assistance to victims of natural disasters. His popularity among the Roman people was exemplified by the outpouring of grief at his untimely death at the age of 41. Titus's reign is often contrasted with that of his predecessor and brother Domitian, whose rule was marked by tyranny and paranoia.
