Hirohito - Emperor of WW2 Japan

Hirohito, posthumously known as Emperor Shōwa, was the 124th Emperor of Japan, reigning from December 25, 1926, until his death on January 7, 1989. He was the longest-reigning monarch in Japanese history, and his reign was marked by significant political and social changes, including the rise of militarism, the Second World War, and the subsequent occupation of Japan by Allied forces. Despite pressure from some quarters to abdicate after the war, Hirohito remained on the throne and played a crucial role in Japan's postwar recovery and transformation into a modern, democratic nation.
