The FBI Hunt to Stop the Atlanta Bomber

This documentary recounts the investigation and arrest of Eric Rudolph, the perpetrator of the Centennial Olympic Park bombing during the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. This act of terrorism killed one person and injured 111 others. The FBI and other law enforcement agencies launched a five-year nationwide manhunt searching for Rudolph. It explores the case details and the difficulties authorities encountered throughout the complex investigation. In addition to the Olympic bombing, Rudolph was responsible for three other bombings, including at an abortion clinic in Birmingham. Rudolph eluded capture for years, hiding in the Appalachian wilderness. The manhunt included the largest manhunt in American history, involving hundreds of agents across several states. The documentary features interviews with law enforcement officers who worked tirelessly on the investigation, some of whom dedicated years of their careers to bringing Rudolph to justice.
