Irma Grese, known as the "Beautiful Beast of Auschwitz," was a notorious Nazi concentration camp guard during World War II. Born in 1923 in Germany, she joined the SS in 1942 and was assigned to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Grese's sadistic personality and stunning appearance made her a legend among the prisoners. She commanded female guards, brutally tortured inmates, and participated in the selection process for the gas chambers. Her cold demeanor, coupled with her youth and beauty, earned her the nickname "The Angel of Death." After the war, Grese was tried for war crimes and sentenced to death by hanging in 1945. Her execution remains a reminder of the horrors committed by the Nazis during the Holocaust.
