Reinhard Heydrich, the infamous Nazi leader, played a pivotal role in orchestrating the Holocaust, the systematic extermination of European Jews during World War II. As head of the Reich Security Main Office (RSHA), Heydrich was responsible for overseeing the implementation of the "Final Solution," a plan to annihilate the Jewish population. He organized the Wannsee Conference in 1942, where Nazi officials formalized the logistics of the genocide. Heydrich's ruthlessness and efficiency made him a key figure in the Holocaust, earning him the nickname "The Hangman." His assassination by Czech resistance fighters in 1942 temporarily disrupted the Nazi plans but did not prevent the implementation of the Final Solution.
